ePlum GetPictures! Recommended Printers

You need to have at least one installed local printer. No matter it is physical printer or only printer driver installed. You need to have enough rights to control this printer, pause it, cancel print jobs etc.

We recommend to install common printers, working with EMF and RAW data format. If the printer works with PostScript language, some problems may occur.

If you are not quite sure your printer is acceptable, or you have no printers at all, we recommend to install Canon BJC-4650 or Canon S6300. Please install one of these printers.

Printer Installation Instruction.

• Go 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Printers' -> 'Add Printer'. 'Add Printer Wisard' will run.
• Click 'Next' and the choose Local Printer.
  Do not check 'Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer'. Click 'Next'.
  
  
• Select the printer port. Choose LPT1. No matter it is already a printer there. Click 'Next'
• Choose Printer Manufacturer and Model as you want. Click 'Next'
  
  

  For Windows 98 users: the system will ask you to insert Windows'98 Setup Disk to the CD drive to copy needed files.

• Name new printer. If you intend to use it with ePlumGetPictures! only, just rename it as "ePlum Printer" or something on.

  If you have no phisical printers and faxes, new printer will be set as the default one. Otherwise, choose 'No'. Click 'Next'.
  
  

• Do not share this printer and do not print Test Page.
  
  

  Certainly, you can print test page to be sure ePlum GetPictures! works properly with your new printer. Just run ePlum GetPictures! before printing.

• That's all. Now you can use this printer to capture its print jobs.
